The details:

I have an amazing opportunity to combine two things I am very passionate about: My love of photography and desire to help/support widows and orphans in any way I can. I am working towards raising $3,000 to travel to Ethiopia this May, which is right around the corner!!!! I will be traveling with an organization called One Child Campaign. We’ll be visiting several orphanages, working with Bring Love In (an organization in Ethiopia that is creating new families from widows and orphans), installing 2 water purification systems, playing with kiddos, loving on the people, and I’ll be photographing the journey.

On this trip I plan to serve, give and love. I have had a heart for adoption since I was very young and the fact that we will get to be a part of a team installing water purification systems fills my heart with inexpressible joy. For those of you who knew Michael, my late husband, he was especially passionate about clean water initiatives. He always made a point to incorporate awareness on these topics to our own daughters. My two oldest daughters (who can remember talking with their Daddy often on the subject) are both especially glad our family will be able to help make a difference in this way.

What will you win:
A Photo Session – up to 2 hours
A disc with 30 edited high res photos with printing rights.
Can be used for a family session, a senior session, an engagement session, give it as a gift – you get the idea!
Must be used by December 31st of 2014

Easy! Help me get to Africa by making a donation ($10 minimum) and you’ll be entered to win! A $10 donation with get you 1 entry. However, every $10 you donate (above the
minimum) will get you 5 additional entries!
For example:

Birthday-ing

I just had to take a moment to say thank you to my amazing friends who gave me such an incredible birthday party this past weekend. It was the most perfect day! I left the house with my girls to have family pictures taken while they worked on transforming my backyard.

To my sweet friends: I love you all more than I can adequately express. Thank you for taking the time to get into my head, pouring over Pinterest, planning and preparing all of the details, making delicious food and organizing a photo booth. I am teary eyed just thinking about it.

All the below pictures were taken by Michelle Nagle or if she’s in the picture the nearest body was enlisted for the job.

This was another session from my recent trip to San Diego. Alisha and Lars, you two are amazing together and photograph reeeally well on top of that:) These photographs were taken on the groom to-be’s family property. It was incredible, wild flowers were everywhere and little bunnies were hopping all over the place. We did encounter a rattle snake during this session, thank goodness no one was harmed….. well except the snake.

I recently made a trip down to California where I was blessed to take pictures of some amazing people. Tairyn and Jake are such a sweet couple. I finished the session feeling so excited for the start of this next season in their life together. The weather was absolutely perfect and I LOVED the location, despite several bug bites and my constant fear of seeing a rattle snake. In the words of my oldest daughter, “She’s beautiful Mommy and he’s so dreamy.” Can’t wait for the wedding!!!
